Bryan Pomares has a diverse work experience, starting in 2010 as a Spanish Speaking Advocate for Health Leads. In 2014, they worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Johns Hopkins University, followed by an Emerging Transformational Leadership Program Fellow role at the University of Miami, Mailman Center for Child Development in 2015. From 2015 to 2018, Bryan worked as a Research Support Specialist at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. In 2018, they joined The Children's Trust of Miami-Dade County as a Research and Evaluation Analyst before transitioning to the role of Solutions Designer. Currently, they are serving as the Associate Director of Technology at The Children's Trust, where they oversee the planning, implementation, and integration of various technology initiatives.
Bryan Pomares pursued their education in the field of public health. In 2013, they attended the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where they obtained a Master of Health Science degree specializing in Public Mental Health, which they completed in 2014. Prior to this, from 2009 to 2013, Bryan Pomares studied at The Johns Hopkins University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a major in Public Health Studies.
In addition to their academic degrees, Bryan Pomares has also acquired additional certifications. In November 2017, they became a League Cycling Instructor through the League of American Bicyclists. In January 2013, Bryan Pomares obtained the title of Peer Health Educator by the BACCHUS Network, although the institution from which they obtained this certification was not specified.
