Marcy Walker has extensive work experience in the field of user experience and human factors engineering. Marcy is currently serving as the Director of User Experience at The Chronicle of Higher Education since March 2021. Prior to this, they held positions as the Principal User Experience Designer from June 2017 to the present, and as the Senior User Experience Designer from March 2012 to June 2017, both at The Chronicle of Higher Education.

Marcy Walker completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Shepherd College in 1987. Later, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Psychology with a specialization in I/O from James Madison University, graduating in 1991. In addition to their formal education, Marcy also obtained a certification in Human-centered Service Design from IDEO U in 2018.
