Zev van Zanten

Zev van Zanten is a prominent editor and researcher with significant experience in journalism, policy analysis, and academic support. Currently serving as the Recess Editor for The Chronicle since September 2022, Zev manages a team of approximately ten staff members while focusing on recruitment, training, and audience engagement. Previous roles include Campus Arts Editor and Staff Writer at The Chronicle, where Zev covered various aspects of campus arts and culture. In addition to editorial work, Zev is involved in multiple research and policy initiatives, such as a fellowship with the Paragon Policy Fellowship, serving as a Research Assistant at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, and internships at notable institutions including the Hoover Institution and the Competitive Enterprise Institute. Zev is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Mathematics at Duke University, expected to graduate in 2026.
