Andrea Nelson

Andrea Nelson has extensive work experience in the legal field, with a focus on healthcare and pharmaceuticals. Andrea began their career as an Associate at Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP in 2005. Andrea then joined CastiaRx in 2011 as the General Counsel, where they managed transactional, contracting, and regulatory matters. In 2016, they moved to Express Scripts, initially serving as Senior Legal Counsel and later being promoted to Vice President, Chief Counsel. Andrea played a significant role in the Cigna-Express Scripts merger and led the legal team supporting sales and account management. In 2021, they joined Cigna Healthcare as the SVP & Chief Counsel, responsible for the legal aspects of their Commercial division. Andrea currently works at The Cigna Group as the SVP, Chief Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, overseeing legal teams and serving as Chief Counsel for Evernorth Health Services.

Andrea Nelson's education history includes a J.D. degree in Law from Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to that, they obtained a B.A., with Highest Honors, from UC Santa Barbara.
