Byron Kutz

Byron Kutz, P.E., M.P.A., currently serves as the Superintendent of Engineering for the City of Lake Forest since July 2021, where responsibilities include overseeing engineering operations and capital improvement projects. Prior to this role, Kutz held the position of Assistant Village Engineer for the Village of Oak Park from December 2013 to June 2021, focusing on civil engineering tasks and supporting the Engineering Division. Kutz’s earlier experience includes roles as Civil Engineer II, Construction Engineer, and Design Engineer at V3 Companies from June 2006 to December 2013. Academically, Kutz earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Valparaiso University, a Graduate Certificate in Public Management, and a Master of Public Administration from Northern Illinois University.
