Kevin Zelk

Kevin Zelk currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Administration for The City of Lake Forest, a position held since July 2006, where responsibilities include overseeing the Records Division, Department Policies & Procedures, equipment management, facilities, city special events, technology, and hiring processes. Previous roles within the same department include Administrative Commander, Patrol Commander, Sergeant, and Detective, with a focus on evidence management and personnel supervision throughout their career. Kevin Zelk also contributed to the Lake County Major Crime Task Force as an Evidence Technician/Investigator from April 2011 to July 2015 and worked as a Surgical Aid and Emergency Room Technician at Resurrection Health Care from June 2001 to June 2004. Kevin Zelk holds a Master's Degree in Organizational Development from Roosevelt University and a Bachelor of Science in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration from Western Illinois University, along with additional training from Northwestern University Center for Public Safety.
