Clare Averiss (Pollock)

Clare (Pollock) Averiss is a seasoned human resources professional currently serving as the Manager of People and Culture for the City of North Vancouver since July 2023. In this role, Clare oversees a diverse team and is responsible for key areas such as collective bargaining, labor and employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, and change management. Prior to this position, Clare held multiple roles over a fourteen-year tenure at the District of West Vancouver, culminating in the position of Senior Manager, Human Resources, where responsibilities included labor relations, disability case management, health and safety, and the implementation of diversity and inclusion strategies. Clare's educational background includes a Master of Laws in Dispute Resolution from York University, a Human Resources Management Certificate from Simon Fraser University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Anthropology from The University of New Mexico.
