Dane van Heerden

Dane van Heerden, CPA, CA, currently serves as the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis at the City of North Vancouver, a position held since July 2019. Prior to this role, Dane was the Assistant Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis at the City of Vancouver from June 2017 to July 2019, and served as a Financial Analyst at lululemon athletica and Vision Critical earlier in their career. Dane's professional experience encompasses various aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, along with expertise in financial modeling and business plan presentations. Dane began their career at KPMG Canada as a Tax Specialist/Senior Accountant, focusing on corporate tax returns and tax planning. Education credentials include the In-Depth Tax Course and Chartered Accountant designation from CPA Canada, as well as a Diploma in Accounting from UBC Sauder School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Victoria.
