Carey Kirkpatrick has a diverse work experience in the field of communications and marketing. Carey is currently the CEO and Founder of CKP, a Texas-based communications agency that offers strategic marketing and public relations solutions. Prior to this, they worked as an Adjunct Instructor of Arts Leadership at the Eastman School of Music. Carey also served as an Account Director at On the Mark Communications and as the Director of Marketing at CultureMap. Earlier in their career, they held the position of Director of Marketing, Creative Services, and Special Projects at the Houston Symphony and worked as a Public Relations Manager at the New World Symphony.

Carey Kirkpatrick completed their Bachelor of Music degree in Applied Music - Horn at Eastman School of Music from 1996 to 2000. They then pursued further education at The University of Texas at Austin, where they obtained a Master of Music degree in Applied Music - Horn from 2002 to 2004. Carey continued their education at the same institution and completed coursework towards a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Applied Music - Horn from 2004 to 2005, reaching the status of ABD (All But Dissertation).
