Debbie Skipper is an experienced journalist currently serving as the Assistant Managing Editor at The Clarion-Ledger since 1997, where responsibilities include overseeing news and business content, along with long-range planning and coordination. Previously, Debbie held the position of Metro Editor, supervising a team of reporters and managing local and state news coverage. Prior experience includes serving as Features Editor at The Anniston Star from 1977 to 1982. Debbie Skipper earned a B.A. in English and Political Science from Jacksonville State University between 1973 and 1977.
