Laura Camilleri

Director of Teacher Development at The Class

Laura Camilleri has worked in a variety of roles since 2009. Laura began as a Student Teacher at Ettrick Elementary School in 2009 and then became a Social Work Intern at Kingsbridge Heights Community Center in 2010. In 2011, they were a Social Work Intern at New York Presbyterian Hospital and a Volunteer with the Runaway and Homeless Youth Program at The Door. From 2012 to 2017, they were an Oncology Social Worker at University Cancer and Blood Center, a Teacher at The Class by Taryn Toomey, and a Teacher Training Assistant at The Class by Taryn Toomey. In 2016, they also began working as a Yoga Teacher at their own website, www.lauracamilleri.com.

Laura Camilleri has attended several educational institutions throughout their career. Laura received a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University between 2010 and 2012. In 2013, they attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to pursue Holistic Health Coaching. From 2005 to 2009, they attended University of Richmond and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and an Elementary Education License. Laura also attended Yoga Vida in 2015 to complete a 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher Training. In 2016, they attended Pure Yoga and Yoga For Cancer, although the field of study is not specified.
