Mark Fitlin's work experience includes roles at various companies. Mark co-founded Dorado Rock LLC in 2021. Prior to that, they worked at The Clearing House from 2014 to the present, starting as VP, Information Security and later becoming VP, Deputy Chief Information Security Officer. From 2011 to 2014, they were an Information Security Manager at GE Capital. Before that, they worked at BB&T from 2004 to 2011, initially as an Info Sec Technologist and later as an Information Security Manager. Mark'searliest role was as an Information Security Analyst at AmerisourceBergen from 1997 to 2004.

Mark Fitlin attended Capella University from 2018 to 2021, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a specialization in Information Assurance and Cybersecurity. Throughout their time at Capella University, Mark achieved several certifications and honors, including being on the President's List for the Spring 2021, Winter 2021, Fall 2020, Summer 2020, Winter 2020, Fall 2019, and Spring 2019 semesters. Mark also achieved the Dean's List for the School of Business and Technology in the Winter 2019 semester. Mark obtained additional certifications, such as the NSA Information Assurance & Cybersecurity certification from Capella University and the Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) certification from ISACA, both in 2021. In 2012, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)².
