Ara Simonian

Ara Simonian has over 28 years of work experience in the banking and financial services industry. Ara currently serves as the Director of Operations at The Closing Exchange, a position they have held since 2020. Prior to that, they were a Senior Project Manager at Water and Power Community Credit Union, where they were responsible for various projects relating to Consumer and Real Estate Lending workflow and processes. From 2013 to 2015, they were the Assistant Vice President - Operations Manager for Closing and Post Closing at Stewart Title, where they were responsible for the development and implementation of departmental activities and organization policies, practices, procedures, training and attainment of operating goals. From 1992 to 2013, they worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in various roles, including Assistant Vice President - Unit Manager for Short Sale and Modifications, Assistant Vice President - Operations Manager - Wealth Management, and Operations Manager - Wealth Management. In these roles, they managed teams, monitored workflow and operational efficiency, and was responsible for compliance and regulatory requirements for all account opening and fulfillment process requirements.

Ara Simonian attended UCLA Extension from 2000 to 2002, where they obtained a degree in Music/Recording Engineering. In 2007, they obtained a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Bank of America, and also attended Glendale Community College.
