Aleta Starosta

Global Development Practice Area Strategy Lead at The Cloudburst Group

Aleta Starosta is an experienced development professional with a focus on research and evaluation in global development. Currently serving as the Global Development Practice Area Strategy Lead and Senior Research Analyst at The Cloudburst Group since April 2014, Aleta has led initiatives including a USAID-funded randomized control trial aimed at enhancing land tenure security for smallholder farmers in Zambia. Previous roles include serving as an Evaluation Specialist on various USAID projects and an Independent Consultant for Innovations for Poverty Action, where Aleta coordinated end line surveys and managed randomized control trials. Aleta holds a Master of Public Policy in Development Economics from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Political Science, Women's Studies, and Applied Statistics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
