Gareth Redman has over 15 years of experience in software development, with a focus on mobile applications and web services. Gareth started their career at SmartMedia Solutions, where they worked as a developer for an advertising-oriented CMS. Gareth then joined Kiwibank as an internet banking developer, specializing in C# and .NET. After that, they worked at Core Technology Ltd as a developer and development consultant, utilizing Java. Gareth then returned to Kiwibank as a senior developer, working on Android, iOS, and web services, and implementing TDD, UI testing, and continuous integration. Gareth also worked at Datacom as a developer, primarily using C#. Most recently, they have been working as a lead iOS developer at The Co-operative Bank, responsible for in-houseing the legacy Objective-C iOS banking app and implementing build pipelines and testing practices.
Gareth Redman obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Computer Science from the University of Otago, where they studied from 2000 to 2003.
