Liz Knight

Liz Knight is a seasoned risk management professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across the banking industry. Currently serving as Chief Risk Officer at The Co-operative Bank since February 2024, Liz previously held the same position at Kiwibank from February 2015 to December 2023, and earlier served as General Manager of Operational Risk and Compliance and AMLCO. Liz's foundational experience began at ANZ, where roles included Head of Operational Risk and Head of Business Management from April 2009 to January 2015, after starting as Head of Business Development for Cards in Southeast Asia from July 2000 to October 2008. Earlier in Liz's career, significant contributions were made at American Express as Head of Portfolio Profitability. Liz holds a Master’s in International Studies with a focus on Economics and Political History from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor’s degree in Literature and History from Macquarie University.
