Babongile Mandela

Babongile Mandela serves as the Senior Director of Public Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability at The Coca-Cola Company, overseeing reputation management, community programs, crisis management, and stakeholder engagement since April 2022. Previously, Babongile held the position of Senior Manager for Strategic Initiatives and Engagements at Absa Group, focusing on sustainable partnerships and financial inclusion. Past roles also include International Affairs Manager at the South African Sugar Association, Deputy Director at the Department of International Relations and Cooperation, Content Specialist in the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa, and Research Assistant at the University of Cape Town. Babongile holds a Master’s Degree in Global Political Economy from Stellenbosch University and a Bachelor of Social Science in Political Science and Government from the University of Cape Town.
