Songmei Cheng currently serves as Vice President and Senior International Tax Counsel at The Coca-Cola Company since July 2023. Prior to this role, Songmei held various senior leadership positions at Eli Lilly and Company, including Senior Director of Tax Forecasting and Reporting and Senior Director of Transfer Pricing & Business Strategy from August 2016 to July 2023. Experience also includes roles at Abbott, where responsibilities spanned from International Tax Counsel to Senior Tax Manager, and earlier positions at ev3 (now MEDTRONIC) as a Senior Tax Accountant, and SUPERVALU as a Tax Specialist. Songmei Cheng's legal and tax expertise is supported by a Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law, an MBA from Eastern Kentucky University, and a Master’s Degree in Business Taxation from the University of Minnesota.
