Katie Tyner

Senior Associate at The Cohen Group

Prior to joining The Cohen Group, Katie Tyner served as the Admissions Officer for Executive Education at the University of Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government. In this role, Ms. Tyner coordinated the recruitment and admissions processes for the School’s Executive Public Leaders Programme (EPLP), which included individualized outreach to permanent and appointed secretaries, director generals, and senior ministers from around the globe. Ms. Tyner was also a Research Assistant at the Blavatnik School of Government, where she analyzed how executive abuses of power from the 1930s to present day have threatened the integrity of democratic institutions.

Previously, Ms. Tyner interned at the Wesleyan University Investments Office, where she contributed to international portfolio projects and assessed manager performances within private equity, real estate, and natural resources asset classes. Ms. Tyner has also served as the Director of the Miss Porter’s School Model United Nations Summer Program.

Ms. Tyner received her MSc in Politics Research with Distinction from the University of Oxford (Balliol College), and her BA in the College of Social Studies with High Honors from Wesleyan University. Ms. Tyner currently has several journal articles under peer-review within the fields of leadership studies, democracy studies, and gender and politics. She is proficient in the R programming language.
