Kevin Patumwat

Associate at The Cohen Group

Kevin Ratana Patumwat is based in his native Bangkok, Thailand. He joined The Cohen Group in March 2021, after working as an attorney at the international law firm Shearman and Sterling in New York. Previously, he had interned at the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts as well as at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development as part of the Bank’s Legal Transition Team.

Mr. Patumwat is a graduate of Harvard Law School, where he focused on comparative legal systems, negotiation, and alternative dispute resolution. He was a member of the Harvard International Human Rights Clinic where he was part of the clinic’s decades-long effort to hold former officials in Bolivia accountable for the extra-judicial killings of unarmed civilians. He also co-produced a short documentary in collaboration with The Boston Globe on the issue of housing affordability in East Boston.

Mr. Patumwat also studied at the University of California, Berkeley and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po). He is fluent in Thai and French and conversant in Japanese, Mandarin, and Spanish.
