Rosa works across the Foundation’s program areas with an emphasis on cancer care and health rehabilitation services. In her role, Rosa leads the Coleman Supportive Oncology Collaborative as well as the Primary Palliative Medicine Training Program. She also works to advance youth entrepreneurship education with a focus on high school students learning to start business ventures. Rosa was influential in creating Teaching & Working Together Chicago, enabling 75 adults with developmental disabilities to secure employment in school settings. In addition, Rosa was instrumental in the growth of Gigi’s Playhouse (for persons with Down Syndrome) starting in 2004 with one site in Illinois to 48 Playhouses across the country. For more than 22 years, she has created effective programs to achieve impact across the Foundation’s program interests. Rosa holds a BA from St. Xavier University.
In May 2019, Rotary Club Chicago of Rotary Club International honored Rosa as “Chicago Woman of the Year” for making a difference in the non-profit community.
