Jimmy Kaiser has an extensive work experience in the field of data science and education. Jimmy began their career in 2009 as a Teacher and Corps Member with Teach For America, where they taught for two years. Jimmy then worked as a Teacher at Hyde Leadership Charter School from 2011 to 2013. In 2013, Jimmy joined the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development as a Research and Analytics Intern. Jimmy then served as a Research Assistant at NYU Furman Center for a short period in 2014.
In the same year, Jimmy joined the NYC Department of Education, where they held various roles. Jimmy started as a Policy Analyst from 2014 to 2016 and later became the Director of Policy and Product Design from 2016 to 2018. In this role, they led a team and conducted research and analysis to enhance measures of student achievement. Jimmy also managed the production and release of reports and tools for 1,800 schools.
Jimmy's most recent role is as a Lead Data Scientist at The College Board, where they have been since December 2019. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Data Scientist at the same company from 2018 to 2019. Overall, Jimmy has a strong background in data science, education policy, and product design.
Jimmy Kaiser earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College in 2009, followed by a Master of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania from 2009 to 2011. In 2013, they pursued a Master of Public Administration at New York University, which they completed in 2015.
