Alexander I. Hock

Alex is a Senior Wealth Advisor and a Principal at The Colony Group. He utilizes his business, investment, and legal background to help develop wealth enhancement and preservation strategies for the firm’s high-net-worth clients. He works to provide clients with financial analysis, projections, and detailed plans, as well as to develop customized investment strategy proposals and assist with due diligence on investment opportunities. Alex holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.

Previously, Alex served as a Financial Advisor for the Denver-based wealth management firm, Jones Barclay Boston, which merged with The Colony Group at the start of 2017. Alex also previously served as an Investment Consultant at DiMeo Schneider & Associates. Before crossing into the finance industry, Alex worked at Handler Thayer, LLP, a boutique law firm, where he focused on providing business and estate planning advice to affluent individuals and families.

Alex received his MBA after graduating cum laude from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business. He simultaneously received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Notre Dame Law School. He received his B.A. in International Business with minors in French and Biology from Eckerd College. Alex and his wife, Leila, live in downtown Denver and, in his spare time, he enjoys playing volleyball, chess, skiing, and exploring the mountains with his dog.
