Mary Ann Nguyen

Mary Ann Nguyen is currently the Tax Director & Legal Counsel at The Colony Group. Mary has over 9 years of experience in tax law, specifically in estate and gift taxation, corporate taxation, partnership taxation, trust, fiduciary and individual federal and state income taxation, sales and use taxation, and the taxation of nonprofit entities.

Prior to their current role, Mary Ann was the Director Tax at Glass Malek LLP from April 2015 to October 2019. Before that, they were an Associate at Glaser Weil LLP from August 2010 to March 2015 where they focused on business and tax strategies for U.S. and non-U.S. individuals and entities, as well as mergers & acquisitions and financing acquisitions.

Mary Ann received their J.D. from Loyola Law School in 2010 and their B.S. in Accounting from the University of Southern California in 2007.

Mary Ann Nguyen received their Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Tax Law/Taxation from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and their Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Pepperdine Law. Mary received their Bachelor's Degree in Business Economics and Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Mary Ann Nguyen reports to Justin Gilmartin, Managing Director, Tax Services. They are on a team with Kevin Charles - Tax Manager, Sean Kelly - Director, Tax Services, and Jason Greenberg - Senior Tax Associate.
