Sheryl A. Rothman

Sheryl is a Senior Wealth Advisor and Principal at The Colony Group, providing comprehensive wealth management advice to high-net-worth individuals and business owners. She is also an advocate for Colony’s Her Wealth® initiative and its efforts to empower women with the confidence and financial resources that can help them take control of their finances.

Prior to joining Blue Water Advisors, which merged with The Colony Group in 2018, Sheryl spent over thirty years in institutional investment management, with a focus on leveraged finance. Most recently she was Managing Director and founding partner of Navigare Partners and, prior to that, Senior Vice President and High Yield Portfolio Manager of Alliance Capital (now Alliance Bernstein).

Sheryl earned her Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. Sheryl is a member of the CFA Institute, the New York Society of Security Analysts, the Financial Planning Association of Long Island and the Penn Club of Long Island.

Sheryl’s passions outside of work include taking Pilates and cycling classes, playing Canasta, reading novels, going to the theater, and spending time with family and friends.
