Taryn Fort (she/her)

Taryn Fort has over 20 years of work experience in various communication and editorial roles. Taryn most recently held the position of Senior Director of Communications and External Influence at The Colorado Health Foundation, where they were responsible for setting the vision for the communications department and developing relationships with populations and organizations. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Director of Communications and Director of Communications at the same foundation. Taryn also has experience as the Director of Marketing and Communications at the National Stroke Association and as a Medical Writer at Neurology Reviews Journal. Taryn began their career as an Editor at Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness and Impact Communications before joining the Academy for Healthcare Education as an Associate Managing Editor. Taryn also worked as a City/County Government Reporter and Sports Reporter/Opinion Columnist at The Junction City Union.

Taryn Fort (she/her) pursued their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English from Kansas State University between 1995 and 1999. Following this, in 2005 and 2006, they attended New York University to obtain a Professional Certificate in Project Management.
