Brian Eason

Brian Eason is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in politics and public policy reporting. Currently serving as a Politics and Policy Reporter for The Colorado Sun since October 2023, Eason previously held positions as a Local Government Reporter and Coach at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, where the focus was on public services, taxes, and housing. Eason's background includes a Public Finance Fellow role at the Center for State and Local Finance, conducting fiscal research for the state of Georgia. Additional experience encompasses reporting for The Associated Press, The Denver Post, and The Indianapolis Star, where Eason has addressed issues of government accountability, economic inequality, and public workforce challenges. Eason holds a Master of Public Policy from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
