David Krause

David Krause is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in various editorial roles within the Colorado media landscape. Currently serving as a Team Editor at The Colorado Sun since June 2022, David collaborates with reporters and editors to cover statewide issues and hosts the Daily Sun-Up podcast. Previously, David spent over five years as the Editor for The Aspen Times, guiding a team through significant challenges, including wildfires and the COVID-19 pandemic. David's earlier experience includes serving as Deputy City Editor at The Denver Post, Executive Producer of Sports at KUSA-TV, and Deputy Sports Editor at The Denver Post, among other roles. David holds a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the University of Oklahoma and an Associate of Arts degree in Media History from St. Gregory's College.
