The Colorado Sun
Michael Booth is a seasoned writer and health communications consultant with a diverse background in journalism and nonprofit advocacy. Currently serving as a writer at The Colorado Sun since January 2021, Booth has co-authored the award-winning book "Eating Dangerously," which won the 2015 Colorado Book Award for Nonfiction. Previously, Booth held significant roles, including Chair of the Board of Directors at the Colorado Consumer Health Initiative from November 2017 to January 2021, and Editor in Chief for Health Elevations at the Colorado Health Foundation from January 2014 to January 2017. Booth's extensive experience includes covering health care policies at The Denver Post and various contributions as a consultant and writer for nonprofits, showcasing a strong commitment to health care consumer advocacy in Colorado. Booth holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Journalism, and History from Macalester College.
