Natanya Friedheim is a journalism graduate student at the University of Missouri, currently serving as a writer for the Columbia Missourian, focusing on state government coverage while pursuing studies in data analysis and narrative writing. Previously, Natanya worked as a special education teacher at the Hawaii State Department of Education, specializing in teaching writing to students with disabilities. Experience includes roles as a staff and contributing writer for Ka Leo O Hawai`i, a graduate assistant at the Center on Disability Studies, and various positions at Honolulu Civil Beat as a reporter, fellow, and intern.
