Natanya Friedheim

Natanya Friedheim is a journalism graduate student at the University of Missouri, currently serving as a writer for the Columbia Missourian, focusing on state government coverage while pursuing studies in data analysis and narrative writing. Previously, Natanya worked as a special education teacher at the Hawaii State Department of Education, specializing in teaching writing to students with disabilities. Experience includes roles as a staff and contributing writer for Ka Leo O Hawai`i, a graduate assistant at the Center on Disability Studies, and various positions at Honolulu Civil Beat as a reporter, fellow, and intern. Natanya also interned at Pacific Business News. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Cultural Studies from Mills College and further studies at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
