Samantha Bryson

Samantha Bryson is an accomplished court reporter at The Commercial Appeal, a position held since August 2012, where comprehensive coverage of juvenile, state, and federal court systems has been pioneered. Previous experience includes securing award-winning exclusive coverage of a local Ku Klux Klan sect and publishing notable front-page enterprise stories during an internship at the same publication. Earlier reporting roles at OaklandNorth.net and MissionLocal.org involved multi-media coverage of significant social issues, while teaching English at Children's Home Academy included curriculum design and the initiation of a volunteer program. Samantha Bryson holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from UCLA.
