Mike Omoniyi serves as the Chief Executive Officer of The Common Sense Network since December 2019, focusing on fostering dialogue among those with differing viewpoints. Additionally, Mike is a Trustee and Board Member at The Young Foundation, a non-profit that collaborates with various stakeholders to address community needs, and holds the position of Non-Executive Director at The University of Salford, where responsibilities include ensuring effective leadership and financial sustainability. Mike is a Member of the Board of Advisors at Chatham House, contributing to global policy discussions. As the Founder and Director of Our God Given Mission, Mike facilitates training for young missionaries. Other roles include being a Trustee for Gmax Trackstars Athletics and a Public Speaker and Trainer specializing in public speaking and youth issues. Previous experience includes serving as the UK Ambassador to the EU through The British Youth Council and as the Deputy Chair of the Greenwich Young People's Council. Mike holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science and is pursuing a PhD at The University of Manchester.

To date, The Common Sense Network team is comprised of 24 people. The Core team of 6 people is headed up by Founder and CEO Micheal Omoniyi, named 1 of 100 most influential BAME leaders in Tech by The Financial Times in 2019 We have also built a ‘common sense’ General Advisory Board of industry professionals in tech and journalism whose combined experience in media exceeds 80 years. These include current and ex-senior figures at the BBC, KPMG, The Economist, Buzzfeed and more.
