Dawit Haile

Dawit Haile serves as the Dean of the College of Engineering & Technology and a Professor of Computer Science and Mathematics at Virginia State University, where significant contributions have been made since August 1997. In addition to various academic roles, including Interim Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, Dawit Haile holds leadership positions in multiple organizations, including Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at the Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Interim President and Executive Director of the Commonwealth Center for Advanced Logistics Systems. Dawit Haile has also been an active member of the Commonwealth of Virginia's Manufacturing Development Commission since 2013. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Virginia Commonwealth University.
