Partner Communications Manager at The Communications Network

Kemi Bello is the Partner Communications Manager at the Partnership on AI, supporting PAI’s 100+ Partner organizations in engaging in the pursuit of AI to benefit people and society. She brings over a decade of strategic communications experience in the nonprofit sector, on issues ranging from labor rights and cultural strategy to immigrants rights and diversity in tech. Passionate about leveraging research, policy advocacy, and data towards storytelling for social change, Kemi believes strongly in the power of narrative to change hearts and minds.

Prior to joining PAI, Kemi was a Content Marketing Manager at Magoosh, a mission-driven tech startup working to level the playing field around college admissions, where she strengthened brand authority through executive thought leadership and media placements in outlets such as Inside Higher Ed, Forbes, and AdWeek. She has also worked in communications roles at the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, the Othering & Belonging Institute at the University of California, Berkeley, Immigrants Rising, Hack the Hood, and the Center for Cultural Power. Her writing on voting rights, immigrant inclusion, and intersectional identity has been published in outlets including The Nation and Change.org.

Kemi received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Houston, where she double majored in Mathematics and Economics. She enjoys talking about sweaters and hiking the various woods of Northern California.
