Monica W. Walker

Monica W. Walker, Ed.D., serves as the Dean of Instruction at the Community College of Baltimore County, overseeing the School of Writing, Literacy, & Languages since July 2004. Walker has held various leadership roles within the institution, including Dean of Developmental Education & Special Academic Programs, Interim Vice President of Instruction, and Department Chair & Associate Professor of English. Experience includes coordination in developmental writing and learning communities. Prior to this role, Walker was an Adjunct Professor of English at Howard Community College. Academic credentials comprise a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration/Community College Leadership from Morgan State University, a Master of Public Administration in Management from the University of Baltimore, and a Bachelor of Science in Communication, Public Relations from James Madison University.
