Shaw Patton is a seasoned professional in the field of editing and education, currently serving as a Senior Editor at Community.co since July 2021. In addition to this role, Shaw has contributed as an Associate Editor for Forbes Business Council and Newsweek Expert Forum from July 2021 to September 2024. Previous experience includes teaching Composition at Tallahassee Community College and working as an Assistant Clerk Specialist for the Florida Department of Education. Shaw co-owned The Bark from August 2017 to April 2021 and held editorial roles at Southeast Review. Additionally, Shaw served as a Pedagogy Mentor and Composition Instructor at Florida State University, alongside earlier positions in technical support and as a barista. Shaw holds a Master of Fine Arts in Fiction from Florida State University and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Florida.
