Emily Klein currently serves as Assistant Vice President in Policy and Government Affairs at The Community Preservation Corporation, where responsibilities include overseeing policy initiatives. Prior to this role, Emily worked as a Senior Policy Associate at Mt. Auburn Associates, focusing on equity and economic opportunity through multisite cross-sector initiatives. Previous experiences include researching municipal responses to the COVID-19 pandemic at the Joint Center for Housing Studies, and supporting community engagement as a Graduate Research Assistant at Harvard University. Additional roles include enhancing affordable housing data management for the NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development, and research and administrative duties at HR&A Advisors. Emily holds a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Studies from Barnard College.
