Katharine Melzer

Katharine Melzer has extensive work experience in investment banking. From 2020 to the present, they serve as the Managing Director and Head of Business Development at Compass Diversified, where they oversee a diverse portfolio of middle market businesses. Prior to that, from 2002 to 2017, they worked at Robert W. Baird & Co. in various roles, including Director of Consumer Investment Banking, Vice President, Associate, and Financial Analyst. During their time at Baird, they gained significant expertise in the consumer sector and successfully led numerous M&A transactions worth over $13 billion.

Katharine Melzer pursued their education at the University of Michigan from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Organizational Management. Later on, from 2007 to 2009, Katharine attended the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. In 2008, they also briefly studied at the HKUST Business School.
