Brian Tse has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade. Brian currently works as the Vice President for The Conafay Group since September 2021. Brian served at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for almost a decade, holding various positions, including Health Scientist, Chief of Staff (Interim), and Program Analyst. Brian worked as an AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow within the U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services at the Division of CBRN Countermeasures, Biomedical Advanced Research & Development Authority (BARDA), and Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness & Response (ASPR). Brian also worked as a freelance Science Writer, Editor & Communications consultant, and as a Christine Mirzayan Science & Technology Policy Fellow at The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Preceptor (Teaching Faculty) at Harvard University.

Brian Tse earned a high school diploma from Herricks High School in 1998. Brian then attended the University at Buffalo from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry. Tse then went on to attend Harvard University from 2002 to 2008, where they earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry and Chemical Biology.
