Allison DeBlasio has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Allison started their career at Valley Physical Therapy as a part-time physical therapy aid before becoming a full-time medical office receptionist. Allison then worked as a medical office receptionist at Pro Care Physical Therapy, where they also assisted in the implementation of an electronic health records program.
DeBlasio later joined Event Resources Inc as a production coordinator, where they created project proposals and supervised subcontracted vendors. Allison then moved on to Grymm Laboratories, where they served as the co-owner and business manager. In this role, they managed day-to-day operations, generated project proposals, oversaw publication and print projects, and developed new business relationships.
After that, DeBlasio joined HB Group, Inc. as a senior account manager, focusing on developing project partnerships with clients in various market segments. Allison specialized in client care and attention to detail to ensure flawless execution of events. Allison also worked as a freelance producer at Northwell Health - LIJ Medical Center, creating presentations on various topics.
DeBlasio's experience in communications and development includes roles at multiple organizations. Allison served as a communications and fund development specialist at Essay Video, where they planned logistics and operations for agency special events and wrote successful community grant applications. Allison held various positions at The Connection, Inc., including associate director of communications, director of communications, and director of communications and development. In these roles, they were responsible for managing internal and external communications, strengthening agency brand awareness, and supporting executive leadership with media appearances. Allison also developed revenue generation plans, rebuilt fundraising programs, and created pricing strategies.

Allison DeBlasio pursued their education in a chronological manner. Allison obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Technical Theater from Southern Connecticut State University between 1999 and 2003. Following this, they attended Gibbs College from 2006 to 2008, where they earned an Associates Degree in Fashion Design. Currently, from 2021 to 2024, they are enrolled in The George Washington University School of Business for their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in Healthcare.

For 50 years, The Connection has been one of Connecticut's leading private, non-profit human service and community development agencies offering unique solutions to the problems of homelessness, mental illness, substance use and community justice rehabilitation. The Connection's mission: Building safe, healthy, caring communities and inspiring people to reach their full potential as productive and valued citizens. To accomplish this ambitious mission, our agency focuses our efforts in three key service areas: Family Support Services, Behavioral Health and Community Justice programs. The Connection's staff annually assists more than 13,000 people throughout the state of Connecticut who have experienced trauma in their lives and are struggling with substance abuse, mental illness, homelessness and community justice issues. The Connection maintains corporate offices in Middletown, and delivers services at 65 residential and outpatient sites to residents in an extensive number of communities in Connecticut, including New Haven, Hartford, Middletown, Groton, Norwich, New London, Bridgeport, Danbury, Torrington, Waterbury and many others.
