Jonathan Burkitt

Jonathan Burkitt has a diverse work background, starting with their role as an IT Sourcing Intern at Nomura International in 2010. Jonathan then continued their internship experience at Nomura in 2011 as a Non-IT Sourcing Intern. In 2013, Burkitt worked at homes4u as a Project Developer and subsequently as a Deposit Administrator. Jonathan also had a role as a Tenancy Administrator at homes4u in 2014. Burkitt then transitioned to a position as a Property Accounts Assistant at homes4u from 2014 to 2016. In 2016, they joined ThinkNorth as Treasurer, overseeing the group's finances and managing the website. Concurrently, Burkitt worked at The Conservative Party as an Income and Accounts Receivable Executive, responsible for processing and overseeing income flow. Jonathan later became the Head of Financial Compliance, leading a team responsible for financial governance. In November 2019, Burkitt took on the role of Head of Commercial Projects at The Conservative Party, project-managing the development and implementation of a standardized accounting and reporting package. Additionally, they oversaw commercial contracts and agreements and supported ERP upgrades. In 2022, Burkitt became the Head of Financial Compliance at The Conservative Party for a one-year maternity cover, focusing on upskilling volunteers and modernizing processes.

Jonathan Burkitt attended Newcastle University from 2009 to 2012, where they obtained a degree in Business Management. Prior to that, they studied at Zurich International School from 2005 to 2009 and at International School of Zug and Luzern from 1999 to 2005, although no specific degrees or fields of study were provided for these two educational experiences. In 2015, Jonathan obtained the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting from CIMA.
