Director Global Food Safety Initiative at The Consumer Goods Forum

ERICA SHEWARD currently serves as the Director of the Global Food Safety Initiative at The Consumer Goods Forum since October 2019. With extensive experience in food safety management, ERICA has held prominent roles including Director of Food Safety and Health Services at Global Food Standards Ltd since 2003, and Vice President at Leatherhead Food Research from September 2018 to October 2019. Additionally, ERICA served as Assistant Director at the Office for Product Safety and Standards and was involved with the Institute of Food Science and Technology as a Member of the Board of Trustees from 2014 to 2018. Previous positions include Food Safety Specialist at The Natural Resources Institute University of Greenwich and Senior Lecturer in Environmental Health at UCLan. ERICA's early career included a role as Technical Director at Castle Kitchens Ltd and contributions to the World Health Organisation as a Food Safety Expert and Technical Author from 2006 to 2008.
