Janet Shevchik

Janet Shevchik has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Janet began their career at JCPenney in 1986 and held various positions, including Department Buying & Merchandise Manager, District Market Training Manager, and Store Merchandise Planning Manager. Janet then transitioned to roles such as Project Manager and Senior Merchandise Standards & Execution Manager. In 2005, they became a Senior Assistant Buyer and later a Merchandise Planning Manager. From 2009 to 2011, they served as an Associate Buyer before being promoted to Sr. Manager Operations and Communications. Finally, from 2013 to 2020, they held the title of Director Of Visual Merchandising at JCPenney. Janet currently holds the same position at The Container Store, starting in 2022.

Janet Shevchik earned an Associate's degree in Fashion Merchandising from Stone Academy-Hamden, which they completed from 1985 to 1987.
