Ben Sand

Ben Sand has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Ben is currently the Chief Executive Officer of The Contingent since 2020. Prior to that, they held the position of CEO at Portland Leadership Foundation starting from 2008. Ben also served as a Strategic Advisor to the President and an Adjunct Professor at Warner Pacific University from 2008 to 2020. In addition, they worked as a Public Speaker at Punchline Speakers from 2017 to 2020. Earlier in their career, Ben was the Strategic Director at Degrees of Change, overseeing the strategic development of Act Six and other education initiatives. Ben also worked as an Area Director at Portland Central Young Life.

Ben Sand attended George Fox University from 2004 to 2010, where they earned their Master's in Divinity (MDiv) degree. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2003, they studied at Eastern Washington University, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Education (BAE) with a focus on English. In addition to their academic pursuits, Ben has obtained a certification in Foster Parenting, although specific details such as the institution and the year of certification are not provided.
