Shundrawn Thomas

Shundrawn Thomas has a diverse and extensive work experience in the financial industry. Shundrawn currently serves as the Founder and Managing Partner of The Copia Group, LLC, a private investment firm that provides capital solutions to U.S.-based companies. Prior to that, they served as a Board Member for Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated, a Fortune 500 company specializing in life and health reinsurance.

Thomas spent a significant portion of their career at Northern Trust Corporation and its subsidiary, Northern Trust Asset Management. Shundrawn held various leadership positions, including President and Chief Executive of the Asset Management business, where they were responsible for driving strategy, financial management, and operations across all divisions and product segments. Shundrawn also served as the Executive Vice President and Head of the Funds and Managed Accounts Group, as well as the Managing Director of the Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) Group, where they developed and launched multiple branded ETFs.

Before their time at Northern Trust, Thomas worked at Goldman Sachs & Co. as a Vice President in the Equities Division, where they managed a sales team and advised institutional clients on investment opportunities. Shundrawn also gained experience at Morgan Stanley as an Analyst in the Fixed Income Division, specializing in futures and options sales, corporate bond trading, and high yield research.

Shundrawn Thomas holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, which they obtained from 1997 to 1999. Prior to that, they earned a B.S. in Accounting from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University from 1991 to 1995. Shundrawn'ssecondary education was completed at Whitney M. Young Magnet High School between 1987 and 1991.
