Terence Thomas

Director, Information Technology at The Corcoran Group

Terence Thomas is the current Director of Information Technology at The Corcoran Group. Prior to their current position, Terence was the Manager of Information Systems at Rubin Baum, LLP from July 1996 to April 2000. In this role, they managed a staff of three which included one network administrator and two help-desk technicians. Terence was responsible for planning and managing hardware/software and network upgrades for both the New York and New Jersey Offices. Terence also planned and managed the design and implementation of custom forms and reports which resulted in increased visibility for business leaders. In addition, Terence optimized and resolved Microsoft SQL Server 6.5 database issues which resulted in a 75% reduction in processing times.

Before Rubin Baum, LLP, Terence was employed at Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP from June 1993 to July 1996 as an Application Specialist. In this role, they designed and wrote custom client-server database applications using Microsoft Visual, Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Access. Terence also converted legacy DOS database applications to Microsoft Access database applications. Terence was also the administrator for Microsoft SQL Server 6.0 and Windows NT 3.51 Servers.

Terence Thomas received a BS in Computer Science from Brooklyn College. Terence also attended Samuel J. Tilden High School.
