Debra Sietsema

Director, Bone Health Clinical Operations at The CORE Institute

Debra Sietsema has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Debra'smost recent roles include serving as the Director of Grants and Education at the MORE (Musculoskeletal Orthopedic Research and Education) Foundation, starting in September 2015. Debra also worked as the Director of Bone Health Clinical Operations at The CORE Institute, beginning in the same month and year. From 2006 to August 2015, they served as the Director of Research at Orthopaedic Associates of Michigan. Prior to that, they worked at Hope College as an Assistant Professor of Nursing from 1993 to 2007. Debra held various nursing leadership and education positions at Spectrum Health from 1979 to 1995. Debra'scareer began in 1978 as a Staff Registered Nurse at Metro Health, where they worked until 1979.

Debra Sietsema has a diverse education history in the field of healthcare. Debra attended Butterworth Hospital School of Nursing, where they obtained their Diploma in Nursing in 1978. Following that, they pursued their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree at the University of Michigan, which they completed in 1984. In 1992, Debra earned their Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from Grand Valley State University. Later, they pursued a Ph.D. in Human Ecology at Michigan State University and completed their coursework by 2005. Additionally, in 2006 and 2007, Debra studied Biobehavioral Science at the University of Illinois Chicago.
