Saida Cornejo is a Fellow in Public Affairs at The Coro Fellows Program at UMSL since August 2022, focusing on civic leadership across various sectors. Prior to this role, Saida served as a Day Laborer Employment Advocate at Street Level Health Project, managing a job portal and conducting outreach for day laborers in Alameda County. Experience also includes a Social Science Fellowship at the Haas Scholars Program at UC Berkeley, where Saida conducted research for an Ethnic Studies Honors Thesis on undocumented entrepreneurship. Earlier roles include a Research Apprentice at UC Berkeley and an internship with the California State Senate, where advocacy and research on immigration policy were central responsibilities. Saida holds a Bachelor of Arts in Ethnic Studies and Legal Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
