Cathy Piston

Cathy Piston has extensive experience in social work, currently serving as the Director of Social Work at The Cottages at Garden Grove since August 2014, where supervision of a social work staff and management of a personal caseload are primary responsibilities. Previously, Cathy held the position of Director of Social Services at Elderwood Senior Care from September 2007 to July 2014, overseeing a team and managing admissions procedures for a skilled nursing facility. Earlier roles include Medical Social Worker positions at Loretto and Jewish Memorial Hospital and Rehab Center, focused on conducting admission assessments and providing case management services. Cathy earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Syracuse University.
