Liz Giel has a diverse work experience in the field of marketing and strategy. Liz is the Co-Founder and Partner at The Coven, a network of radical spaces focused on community transformation. Liz is responsible for marketing, consumer insights, communications strategy, effectiveness, and partnerships.

Liz is also the Owner and Brand Strategy and Consumer Researcher at Hierophant, where they partner with companies and agencies to design effective marketing programs. Their expertise includes consumer insights, brand positioning, communications planning, digital/content strategy, and market research.

Prior to that, Liz worked as the VP of Strategy at Fast Horse, where they established strategy as a formal discipline and led new business efforts. Liz added six new brands to the agency roster and developed new offerings for existing clients in brand positioning, consumer insights, and campaign strategy development.

Liz also served as a Board Member and Programming Chair at Mpls MadWomen, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bridging the gender gap in creative fields. Liz planned events and initiatives while managing community insights and organizational benchmarking efforts.

At BBDO Minneapolis, Liz held the role of VP and Director of Strategy, where they led the strategic discipline and restructured the team. Liz partnered with executive-level clients to identify growth opportunities and solve complex business problems.

Before that, Liz was the Group Planning Director at Carmichael Lynch, where they led creative strategy efforts for Subaru of America. Liz played a key role in shaping industry-leading work, increasing purchase intent and sales growth. Liz also launched Subaru's Hispanic marketing initiative.

Liz worked as a Strategist at Fallon, leading brand and digital strategy for clients such as Cadillac, Cruzan Rum, and Travelers Insurance. Liz played a role in revitalizing Cadillac and achieving record-breaking sales growth.

Additionally, Liz worked as an Instructor at Miami Ad School and as a Strategist at Haberman. Liz also gained experience in sales and marketing at Questar.
